Baby Shower Cookie Bouquet
Here is a cookie bouquet that was made for a baby girl baby shower. There are 34 cookies in this bouquet, which makes for a pretty large bouquet! There are half chocolate cookies and half vanilla cookies. No two cookies are the same!
Baby Shoes Baby Shower cake.
This was a cake requested for a baby girl's baby shower. There were at least 60 guests in attendance so they requested a large cake. This is buttercream icing, with edible sugar pearl embelishments, fondant ribbon and bow and fondant baby shoes. The request was that the colors match the invitation, which you can see in the background.
April Fool's Dessert at my house ;)
I made something that looked like grilled cheese. I told the kids they had to eat this sandwich before they were allowed to have dessert. Of course they grumbled and complained...until they had a bite and realized this was dessert. This is a loaf cake with tinted buttercream center.
Cake Contest
This is an entry I made for a cake contest. Part of the criteria is that the item had to be unique and easy to duplicate. I stayed away from the fondant as I understand how frustrating that can be, especially when you are just getting started with it! This is made from vanilla cupcakes, brownies, sugar cookies and butter cream icing!
Spring Easter Cookies 2010
My neighbor asked me if I could make some Easter egg cookies for her kids for Easter...so I said I would give it a try. I also had another person ask me if I could make some Lamb cookies...I admit I am on a learning curve here, but every bit of practice helps :)
Book Club Book Cake!
I was asked to recreate, in the form of a cake, a book that a book club in my area was reading. I cut the fondant birds and stem and hand painted them, along with the writing. Vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream frosting. Fondant covering and accents.
