Haven't you always wanted a Monkey?

Here is a cake that was made for a special girl celebrating Birthday number 8!  She adores Monkey's and was very thoughtful in deciding her cake design.  She chose this herself from a helium balloon design that she found on the internet.  The cake is a carved sheet cake with fondant accents.  The legs and arms are made of krispy treats.  Cake is a white cake with chocolate ganache filling and chocolate icing.

Aloha and Mahalo!

These cakes were made for an  end-of-the-year Luau themed party at one of our fabulous, local pre-schools!  The cakes were made to look like Hawaiin shirts - aka something someone might wear to a Luau or on a tropical holiday.  The cakes are carved from sheet cakes.  They are vanilla flavor, with white chocolate ganache and vanilla butttercream.  They are handpainted with food coloring and accented with fondant :)

Luau Themed end of year party!

Made these cakes for a wonderful preschool in the area.  They had a luau theme end-of-the-year party.  This was split into two different celebrations.  I basically made the same cake, twice.  There are a few changes between each cake, but subtle.  These were made to match the school decor and colors for the party.
