Book Club Book Cake!
I was asked to recreate, in the form of a cake, a book that a book club in my area was reading. I cut the fondant birds and stem and hand painted them, along with the writing. Vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream frosting. Fondant covering and accents.

Birthday cake for an 11 year old's birthday party.
Here is a cake where Mom wanted the cake to match the invitations and party decorations and daughter really wanted a peace symbol on the cake! I did my best to combine the two...the recipients were happy with the outcome and so was I :)
Canadian Hockey Fan's Birthday!
Here is a birthday cake I made for my husband. He was so happy that Canada won the gold in hockey...feeling pretty patriotic, so I thought this would be a nice theme for his birthday cake.
Young Chef's Birthday...
This family has a daughter that wants to be a chef when she grows up. They had requested an apron for the cake and whatever else I wanted to put on the top. This is what I came up with. They also requested that the cake be iced pink, instead of using any fondant. Hard for me to get the super smooth butter cream icing, but practice makes perfect!

Birthday cake for a lady from Louisiana...
This was a cake that was requested for a birthday for someone from Louisiana. Being that it is Mardi Gras during her birthday as well I was asked to use gold, green and purple for the main colors of the cake.

Happy Valentine's Day Y'all!
Here is a cake I made for a Valentine party.....All edible, except for the stick holding up the "balloon". The balloon is molded from Rice Krispy treats.
